Stretching 18km between Denmark and Germany, this €7bn immersed tunnel is the world’s longest road and rail link. By 2029, it will replace a 45-minute ferry trip with a 10-minute drive or a 7-minute train ride, offering a 24/7 gateway to Scandinavia.
